The Department of Economics and Economic Policy of the Institute of Economics and Finance, Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW is pleased to invite you to participate in the 12th international scientific conference in the series of “Changes in the agri-food sector in European countries” entitled “The food economy in a time of crisis”. The conference is going to be a forum for the debate of the scientific community from Poland and abroad on the implications of crisis phenomena and processes for the food economy and rural development as well as institutional solutions aimed at their preventing and mitigating.

- Mechanisms behind the emergence of crises and their effects: theoretical perspective
- Crisis experiences of the national and international economy
- Public policies (macroeconomic, social, trade, agricultural, etc.) in the face of shocks and high socio-economic uncertainty
- Consequences of crises (COVID-19, climate, food and others) for entities in the agri-food sector
- The impact of crisis events on the markets of production factors (labour, land, capital)
- The food market and food security in the face of the crisis
- Socio-economic development of rural areas in times of crisis
